Apparently Oro's initial concept was mostly inspired by Hélio Gracie.
But since he has sealed his dominant arm away, it seems it is probably an allegory to Bodhidharma's disciple. The immortality aspect with his mastery of techniques means he is most likely inspired from Bodhidharma.
