I owned a Silver Bullet 340 one of best machines I had, back then.

I bought one of these for $200 in the late 90's. It was beat to heck. I redid all the fiberglass/metal bodywork and repainted it. It was a great machine.

Great sled. I owned a Silver Bullet. 340 buggies version. My next sled was the aluminum TNT 440 1975 . Now looking for an old school TNT Free air. 1974 or 75 Mikuni carbs.

I bought a 294 LEAD SLED new. First year I had it was a dog. Took back to dealer and they "FIXED IT". Ran great after that and was very fast.

I had a 294 Silver Bullet & my brother had a 72' 340 TN'T.
My dad had a 73' el tigre 440 free air, it would eat those Ski-doo's like a Cat eating a Canary 😂 Still good times & great memories.

My father bought a 440 Silver Bullet new so as a young teen that was my first sled and loved it....just sounded different than the 72 TNT's it almost had like a whining sound and was much more smooth and quite running than the 72's even though the engines were essentially the same...it also had a nice throttle and handle bar padding that made it look much nicer than the 72 TNT's...it still is one of my favorite looking Ski Doo's...that is till I bought my own new 77 340 today is still my favorite looking ski doo ever and that sucker would eat those 440 TNT's on takeoff and top end speed and sounded soooo damn good.

My brother had one of these in 340, got it for his birthday in 1977. My dad had Jan's Sport Shop rework the carburetor somehow cause it kept fouling plugs. After that she ran like a scalded dog. For my birthday that year I got a 1975 Mercury 440 s/r. Both sleds were fast but that TNT would hole shot me everytime. We still have them, the Merc runs but the ski doo blew up, I think my cousin ran regular gas in it.

One of Ski-Doos first blunders. I never encountered a good silver bullet.

Nice! My older brother had a 340 TNT Silver Bullet with Bogie Wheels. He left it to me when he went off to college. I've been told the 294 was faster than the 340. I don't know about that but my 340 Silver Bullet was sadly a big unreliable. Still managed to have a lot of fun on it though. Thanks for the video.

I had one of these beauties, it would do 72 miles per hour just before you burned out a piston 😊
