Alexander Volkanovski will always and forever be an MMA legend. Started his career late, faced lots of adversity and still never backed down from any tough challenges.

I love how Joe has stated multiple times that he doesn’t interview fighters after they’ve been knocked out anymore but routinely does it every chance he gets lmao

You can tell how painful that loss is to him.

For the moment this is easily the saddest moment in UFC for 2024.

I feel like this is an end of an era of champions. From Usman to Izzy and now Volk, sad to see but it’s also an example of life and this sport.

You're a warrior Volk. Take some time and get yourself right. All your fans are behind you. There's a reason why you're considered the FW goat, you're a champion and a role model to all of us out there about what you can achieve if you dedicate yourself and have the determination to win no matter the cost.

This is a brutal sport and age catches up to everyone. You looked great in this fight up until the KO, and I think you've got fight left in you, but just rest assured your legacy is already built. Future hall-of-famer and FW Goat.

Alexander the Great, you just passed the torch nothing to be ashamed of after such a successful career, you became one if not the most liked fighter of the last couple of years. 👏

We love you Volk. Take a year off then you can take your rematch at featherweight too. But it is obvious now that you have to take some time off to recover. Please.

This KO is not a surprise. Volkanovski rushed his return, especially against a heavy hitter as Topuria.

He needs to take sometime, Or it will be over to him just like Tony

Couldn't believe when he was saying he'll ko volk all week. One punch, out cold.

Even Makhachev's kick didn't put him out completely. Which means that he was already vulnerable and recovering from that. He should have taken at least a year off (just like Makhachev told him to)

Now that's 2 consecutive losses for Volk wherein he got finished, Time really catches up to everyone, a bittersweet moment for the passing of the torch between the old and the new

As a Georgian and as a big fan of Ilia, this brought me to tears, seeing Volk like that, GOAT of featherweight. What a great legacy he had!
