A big part of their vocal training involves running on the spot and singing at the same time, so that they're able to handle the dancing and the live singing at the same time

Jesy is comfortable there. Her voice sounds like that normally. She does sound better slightly higher tho but her voice is set farther back hence why you thought that.

With the dance breaks, they use the backing vocals because it's literally impossible to do that dnace break live. So they save their voice for their own verses and harmonies

I don't know a lot about singing to be honest but I think jesy's voice just generally sounds like that. You're probably right, I don't really know but her voice is just always pretty breathy.

When Little Mix are rehearsing they usually run on the spot or dance while singing so when they perform live or after dancing they don’t sound out of breath😁

Jade’s always seemed like the one who’s been 100% comfortable with her voice. Perrie’s regressed since Salute era but no doubt still a strong vocalist. And Leigh’s improved a lot but sometimes she lacks confidence and tends to shy away from higher notes and has been inconsistent lately. Jesy I feel has never been properly given the chance to shine; she’s an amazing vocalist but in a group with 2 of the best vocalists from their generation, she was bound to be overshadowed along with Leigh Anne. But honestly Jade is another level; she’s not the best belter but her developed registers, range and technique makes up for that. Its the same case with Wheein from Mamamoo; they’re both the best vocalists in their respective groups, but overshadowed by a strong belter (Perrie and Solar)

You should react to more of their live performance, or them live on tour and you will see that they love some heavy choreo, so they are pretty trained to dance and sing at the same time 🤗 Great reaction

I'm late as hell but just wanted to say that i have noticed that jesy sings after choruses(dance breaks) a lot and most her lines are in a lower register, i think it's understandable for her to sound out of breath because you can't really project your lows after that much physical engagement. i think jesy is pretty comfortable with her upper third octave notes since she's usually one doing low harmonies.

I like how you gave your honest opinion and tried to be nice still and not offend anybody and still said that it was an amazing performance because some vocal coaches only focus on the negative and only say what needs to be improved but you were very nice about it so I appreciate that 😌💕
