With a 100m relay you can’t turn around on handoffs cause that happened to me too. You have to just face forward and start running until the passer yells “stick” and you just kinda feel for it. You’ll get it though good luck in your track future.

In highschool I got drafted for speed. I was afraid of getting tackled during HS gym period football.

First day, first race was the 1660. I'm nervous as heck, no training... The gun pops, and I'm off, first quarter of the lap and I'm 100 yards ahead of everyone else on the track. Tennis shoes on fire, the whole field was eating my dust. Boom - Mach 5!!

But then the tiredness was setting in, O2 levels dropped and then the slowing started. Lol. Finished 4th in a five man race. So it goes.
