I think the licks Marty is referring to, Iommi lifted from Hendrix. The triplets from flat-third to the 1 down the 5 on the E and B string. Ditto the little trill hammer-ons that he uses as the fill in the verse. I noticed Clapton also used those often

that brings back memories i had a bass guitar I plugged it into the RCA jacks on those old hi-fi's back in the 70's my Dad had a really nice one one big piece of furniture it was, so I plugged the amp in and try to play that first riff on bass, the look my parents gave me, the earful of got from my old man, never took up the bass but something about being a 16 year old trying to play Sabbath and pissing off your folks, a rite of passage LOL
