Not gonna lie, i used the browser on my dsi to look at inappropriate pictures. I was a bit of a wild child.

The fact that the og DS pulls up more pages in 2024 then the 3DS is insane

I utterly *begged* my parents for this when I was a kid! I mean, what I'd really wanted was the PSP, but short of that, having a browser on the DS Lite felt like magic!

Weird to describe it as "swapped out the GBA slot for an internal web browser."

The DSi had a included web browser because it had the extra RAM included internally

Dude smashed those two consoles together like he was bout to build a house. I'd love to see that. A tiny home built from old DS shells and DSI shells. Heck you could even splurge and get some XL shells in that sucker.

I was in kindergarten in 2004/2005 and has this idea myself. I brought it up to my teacher and a friend named Katie while walking out of the bus loop door. I said "you'd get a cartridge and it would let you on the internet". I'd like royalties, with back pay please.

This made me realize that the Nintendo DS has a gameboy cartridge area. Thanks

I had this. I got the DS Lite version despite having a phat DS, so I had to slice off the plastic sticking out on the ram cartridge that Nintendo put on purpose (so it wouldn't fit in a GBA or phat DS and possibly get stuck). But then created a handle for the cartridge so I could pull it out if I wanted.

It worked pretty good in my experience. There was less bloat on websites back then. Videos wasn't supported of course, but it could view 2MB gifs.

I remember having this. It took me so long to actually find a gamestop with this in it.

Imagine if this type of technology continued to still exist. Like an 8gb memory expansion pack for the Nintendo Switch, or a 4gb expansion for the Nintedo Wii!

I remember getting this for xmas when I was a kid. It was my first personal web browser. I spent so much time looking up stuff on gaming sites and looking for cool mario and Sonic art.
