Micromouse Accelerating Hard

Показать описание
When a micromouse accelerates hard, the front end will tend to rise up. Four wheel mice should not lose traction as the weight is transferred to the rear wheels. But, if you overdo things, the back end of the mouse can still touch the ground and reduce traction.

And, when the acceleration phase is over, the front comes crashing to earth on bouncy tyres.

here is Decimus 5alpha accelerating at 15000mm/s/s. As it reaches constant velocity, it actually leaves the ground briefly.

The (low quality) video was taken at 240 fps and then slowed down 10x before uploading.

I need a good high speed camera.

How do you measure the acceleration? and wouldn't it help if you switched from constant acceleration to constant velocity smoothly?
