A few corrections based on the gun:
1: The M1911 doesn't have that much recoil
2: When you fire specifically a pistol, most of the recoil is from the slide hitting the back after firing. Which actually sends the gun backwards while slightly looking upwards, instead of going upwards with the arm straightened.

if u made it have that much recoil then the other arm should move a little bit further to the body after shooting, it makes it less awkward and more impactful
