It’s actually worth the money, the BCG alone is worth $400 and it’s bombproof and easy to clean with the slick exterior coating idk wtf it but it’s dope af. The surefire muzzle device is $200 with tax on a good day😂 so the rest of the upper is around $800🤷🏻🤘🇺🇸

The older version that actually included the correct Daniel Defense barrel and mil spec BCG is definitely cooler. Came in way cheaper as well. Scored mine for $800 using a 30% off coupon a couple years back. Wouldn't pay $1400 for one of these, especially not the mew variant.

With the braided spring and buffer and REBCG and the surefire flash hider and charging handle its worth it . That 600 bucks wprth of stuff that isnt normally included with top teir 1000 dollar uppers no one is taking into account

Yes, yes it is. But if you're looking for value I personally think the super duty is the better buy as it has the .68 gas port (urgi has .70) ssa ex trigger, warcomp/whisper mount, and all the same stuff as urgi. Lil more $ but you get a lot in return.

Not garbage. Got my 14.5 when they first came out on BF for like 850 or so, plus the coupon for a SF Scout and RC2. Still my main go to.

I can't lie the urgi and/or super duty are my current fav DI guns. The BCM still gets use but geissele everything has captured my heart. And pws... Pws mk111 mod 2 is a winner also.

To each their own; for me it's a no. Why? Because I'm gonna drop 1200 on a complete rifle and it's barrel won't be a firespitter 14.5. Loss of cartridge effectiveness unless you are using a load that will burn up fully by the end of it. 18in minimum for me on a 5.56; 20in minimum on .308

I got an AUG for the price of that upper. At the end of the day-it’s just another AR and a clone at that. Not a fan of 4 prong hiders and I prefer the thermal fitment that a BCM4 upper has. Blems are 60 bucks and I can dump a pile of cash into a CHF barrel and BCM BCG Radian Raptor, whatever handguard scratches the current itch and done ✅

I bought my 14.5” URGI upper from Geissele in 2022 for Black Friday and got it for ~$900-$1, 000. I don’t remember the exact price but in 2022 the uppers were running $1, 350 full price. Now they’re running $1, 450. But for $300-$400 off I think it’s a good deal. I just priced a BCM 14.5” upper mlok rail with ambi charging handle and surefire flash hider and it came out to $1, 024
