Alan thrall taught me how to squat back in 2019, then in may I actually got to meet you at untamed and you perfected my back squat. 1st time I lifted atlas stones and you cheered me on as I fought for the 240 pounder. I’m glad I got to meet you and still learning from you

Great video Alan. Discovering Zach and Joe DeFranco back in the day provided a seismic shift in my approach to training. The influence these guys had on fitness cannot be understated

You, Zach and good ole Elliott Hulse got me into training. I was born with a disability called Spina Bifida, one of the worst cases of it. Growing up, I always watched you three and was always blown away about how much I really related to wanting to be "Strong" for what it's worth, for my specific case. I may not be the strongest, but there isn't a single client that I have that doesn't come out stronger than they did the last time - disability or able-bodied.

So, thank you guys!

Alan you taught me how to bench squat deadlift back in 2016 and my fitness journey has taken on a life of its own due to your influence and few others among the YouTube fitness community thanks man for all the content you’ve put out over the years

Man this video is such a gem. Honestly amazing to see that you got into lifting just because you wanted to train like a badass. Not chasing any sort of number or physique goal. Just hard, tough training because that's what you wanted to do and it made you happy.

When I was young and impressionable, YOU stood out to me. Everything you said in this video is how I feel about you. Thank you for everything you’ve done on YouTube/Instagram. You’re impact on me and many others has been extremely positive. As a future US Marine, I just want you to know that your videos and tips/techniques have prepared me for the military, thank you Alan!

Elliot Hulse (circa 2012-13) was one of the first youtubers that appealed to me. "Free cardio" concept is something I carry with me to this day. I push mow at the house I live in and my rental properties for the free cardio alone lol.

My first influence was you, buddy.

Actually, to be fair and sincere, you and a friend of mine, Diego. You guys gave me exactly the will and the feeling you describe on this video. You guys were a life change to me.

After learning a lot with your and your videos, back in the day around 2016, I just got really motivated to study more about training, dieting and started to have fun when training putting everything I was learning with you - and I'm still learning with you - in practice.

Thanks, man. You're true and important inspiration to any one, mainly us, natural guys. <3

A hug from Brazil.

I think that something as intangible as determination is actually really inspiring and contagious.

Zach embodies a spirit and passion for training that needs to be passed on to anyone that wants to train! He values the old school, hard work and dedication.

My fitness journey started when I watched your squat tutorials 10 years ago. It was one of the more informative tutorials and it still is. Your channel made a huge impact in my life. I recently moved to Sacramento and built my home gym but I hope to visit your gym someday.

Good vibes, acknowledging one's inspiration from back in the day. Especially these days when social media is mostly about escaping the time spent doing the work consistently.

I remember the Zercher Squats with anger video, and the video where he was playing with his kid on the floor and describing the different between pretty boy bodybuilding and strongman training, and which one he would fear in a dark alley. Gems of a YouTube history.
