ST segment, T wave, and U wave explained for nursing students, nurses, Next Generation NCLEX, and ACLS.

As a nursing student or nurse, you'll likely be encountering ECG (EKG) interpretation and heart rhythms. You'll want to be familiar with the parts of a PQRST waveform.

In this video, you'll learn about the ST segment, T wave, and U wave.

-ST segment - represents the completion of ventricular depolarization and the beginning of ventricular repolarization, and it should be flat (isoelectric).

-T wave - Represents the beginning of ventricular repolarization (relaxation).

-U wave - This wave sometimes appears after a T wave, but it doesn't appear in all patients.
