They CLAPPED after the first movement! Yes! Bravo!

I've been advocating that the ridiculous classical world idea that you must squash your emotional response after a strongly emotional first movement should be changed culturally! Why can't we clap after, say, the Brahms Fist concerto's first movement? What's more natural than that? Besides, we clap after opera arias, after ballet solos, etc.
I say GOOD ON THE AUDIENCE (or at least some) for clapping after a dynamic first movement.
