I never fail to enter the nether without using a diamond pick somehow.

I played a survival run of this with the Aether mod and it’s so freaking awesome. You can build straight up and reach the skylands or dig down to get to the nether. The idea of the dimensions all seemlessly flowing into each other works so well. If you have a high render distance mod aswell, you can literally see the sky islands when you’re standing on the ground. It’s completely breathtaking.

How does this feature work with the nether’s fast travel function? The nether corresponds with the overworld but scaled down by 1/8th meaning you can travel quickly using portals, but does that still hold true when you can just dig down into it? It seems like it would be locked to a 1:1 ratio that way.

I was just playing with the mod yesterday and it's amazing how much this mod offers, but HOLY LORD does it take some power to run.
