Hello from Ireland, so great to see live jazz from Birdland. Thanks to Emmet, whose broadcasts kept me sane during the pandemic. Thanks to Ron Carter for his legendary lifetime of music. Loving this music tonight, it has soul, and it swings.

Emmet Cohen is 34 years of age. Ron Carter is 87 years old. A difference of 53 years!

And therein lies the beauty of remarkable musicians separated by two generations still willing and able to get together and to perform wonderful music for all of us to enjoy.

JAZZ LIVES!!!!

Saw this trio the following night from this recording. Ron Carter's 9-minute solo about an hour into the show brought the house down. Such a fantastic night of music.

I was at Birdland for the show the day before, was amazing! great music and vibes. Emmet even came out after and had a nice little chat with a whole line of people (me included) he even agreed to sign a poster I bought that very night (thank you again if your reading this). was definitely a highlight of my vacation to New York. cannot emphasize how nice of a guy he was
