In Part 2 of our Circle of Fifths series, we explore what happens when we move counterclockwise! 🎸 After reaching the bottom of the circle at F-sharp, we start moving in intervals of a fourth, adding flats to the key signature: B-flat has two flats, E-flat has three, and so on. The flat and sharp keys eventually meet at F-sharp/G-flat. The circle of fifths is an essential tool for understanding key relationships, modulations, and building chord progressions.
