i think a cool game loop would be to be able to farm materials from abandoned ships that utilise EVA. i think it would tie EVA and ship interiors together rather nicely without having to make the step to resorting to taking whole panels off of a ship

My list:
- thicker atmospheres,
- ship interiors
- additional constructions with purpose of being player base/guild bases
- small cities/settlements with normal NPC's AI
- more ground vehicles - tanks, more srv - especially big ones like in Martian movie, mechs etc
- new battle zones with new construction types, and more interesting gameplay loop (powerful ground cannons, a lot of new war vehicles involved, bigger territory than current ground conflict zones)
- high gravity vehicles, suits and ships for completely new gameplay loops (or ones for thicker atmosphere planets)

I want a more in depth exploration and story missions that are more than bring this there and done.

I was hoping atmospheric worlds would be mentioned. I always say this I personally would feel satisfied if we only got barren earth like planets so think of desert planets but with oceans or lakes and clouds, and also waterworlds with no life but rain etc that would add another depth to elite dangerous

Elite could implement the Starfield way. Approach the ship and have the option: Enter ship (interior) or enter Cockpit. No gameplay interruption and still giving a seamless option for those wanting interiors

Ship interiors/EVA! If someone wants to teleport out of the ship and to the pilot seat, keep that option as well.

Ship interiors, Braben said it years ago and we’re still waiting. I get that it’s a game engine limitation currently where objects can’t really stay stationary on movable objects, but it doesn’t have to move. Maybe it’s only allowed when docked or landed.

I think Fdev listens to players but they only get fragments, or try to summarize what the players want. Players wanted to be able to walk around, Fdev lets them walk some places but not their ship, arguably the one place players wanted most. Players wanted base building, instead of customizable bases Fdev gives them premade bases to pick from, kind of negating any customization players had been asking for.

If Fdev wants to tell players they are being listened to, they really need to actually engage their player base or at the very least respond. If somebody has a great idea, they could at the very least respond with a “sounds neat, it’s not in the works but I hear you”

I'm having a blast playing the game, here are some of my thoughts and suggestions.


Hauler Mechanic - Apex Interstellar creates a haulage division where the player can hire npc's to deliver resources to construction ships - construction depots. Trading becomes more efficient and less time-consuming.

Cargo Compression Technology - It allows for more efficient use of cargo space, enabling transportation of larger quantities without increasing the physical size of storage units.

Larger dedicated cargo ships - 2000 - 3000 units of cargo capacity.

Listening to music while piloting your spacecraft - Introduction of a built-in ship music player for custom playlists.

I would like to get ship interiors, be able to exit ship in space, and have full VR support including on-foot.

I think that when someone plays a space game, they naturally want to feel immersed in that universe. Being a ship in first person or controlling a ship in third person is fine and can be very entertaining. But being a character that is "in" an actual ship is truly immersive.

I've always felt that the limit of ship interior gameplay is solely on the players' imagination (or lack thereof). That trip to Hutton Orbital would be a _ton_ more fun if I could walk about my ship and do things along the way. Also, what's with the underutilization of the NPC crew!? Wow, I can send them out in a fighter but what else? Can they actually do what I'd pay a crew member for? Nope! Why can't I pay a crew to fly and protect the freakin' ship while I do my own thang?

Colonization should have been more about personal space, build a settlement, station whatever and have room to store ships, modules, materials, etc like a non moveable fleet carrier. It should have cost more but took took less material, maybe 500 million for a basic space, but you could expand it, choose what services to install, etc. All this now is us doing frontiers work of setting up a system with trucking.

Even without ship interiors, the game needs to be connected. Right now, the space legs and the rest of the game are split into two completely different things. There needs to be activities that connect both of these gameplays. Interiors are very important if they are really going to be part of the gameplay. With it, you can make something like a new activity in the spirit of hardspace: shipbreak. Dismantle the wrecks of giant ships, save people FROM INSIDE ships and dead stations. Fight with guns in spacesuits on abandoned ships, I mean right outside on magnetic boots or climb into holes and kill thargoid larvae inside. Its huge potential feature. But seems fronters not belive in his own game.

Youve just given me an idea with the gas giants. How about gas collection? Scooping helium and processing it in an Anaconda, trying to stay centered through the vein of a particular kind of gas. Could also get gas harvesting platforms like Cloud City from Star Wars
