I see Marinette's lie as something very different than just saying Gabriel was a hero and that Adrien's the problem. What I see and hear is that she paints Gabriel out to be a man who was put into a corner and made some terrible decisions. However, at the last minute, he was able to turn his choices around and killed Monarch and saved Nathalie. Technically, this isn't a lie but still is. At the same time, knowing that Gabriel didn't make good decisions leading up to this moment, Adrien should know that he wasn't the problem.

The whole thing was just a roller coaster. I was at the edge of my seat even though I've seen the end of season five and knew everything would end up okay. Marinette writing "Gabriel Agreste" in place of her own name in Lila's notebook was just genius. I laughed SO hard. 🤣🤣

I honestly think that its better for her to tell adrien the truth, i mean i understand where shes coming from, she wants to protect him. If adrien would've known that his father was monarch, that would have been pretty painful for him and also as catnoir (i mean who wouldn't be shocked that youve been fighting your dad the whole time?😅) marinette made the right choice to not hurt him (bcs if the truth was told, adrien would no longer have anyone, knowing that his mother is gone and gabriel died and if Nathalie goes to jail he would have no one left. Just like in the movie, marinette said he needs a mother, someone who's always been there for him before anyone else would. literally guys, imagine a 15 yaer old w/out a family that would've been pretty painful. but as i was saying marinette should've told the truth to him because lying to him would have been made major consequences. I mean all that youve been trough, all that has been told, all that youve accepted, was just freaking lies! it would've been more painful that the one who hurt you the most was your girlfriend like what the fudge? just imagine!! In addition, i understand what decisions marinette has made. Shes also in a lot of pain. I mean teenagers experiencing this kind of traumas? Haha im glad that over the past 10 yrs im still a miraculous fan. This series is just so intriguing! the london special the edge of time was on top shelf! Also lizzie can you talk about something about the japan special? im really exited!!

I loved the London Special but let me tell u I cried sm watching that even in the tiny funny parts I was still crying but I agree w Lizzie abt everything that happened I’m happy that Mari has others to talk to abt this and btw in the special the animation were top notch like they were clean and smooth

If u don't know...this special takess place after Gabriel `s wish but before the pool scene happens...😮just wanna clear this up that its nothing like a what if episode...he has the twin rings still with him and the rest of the squad will help ladybug and cat noir fight manon whose the future hawkmoth.... And thats when alix and luka is shown...after the wish and finale... I guess they threw Adrien a party to make him feel more happy and not lonely but it also takes place where felix and amelie moved to paris. And...i hope emillie is gonna be shown because thomas hinted us that she will be back even if it doesn't make sense..but lets see in the later episodes of season six...! Cant wait to see the cute son and mother moments wnd i have a feeling that future manon gets defeated and that...emillie comes back after but lets see...i do want emillie back. Do u? <:

I’d rather know the truth rather than believing a lie like if my dad were a villain and died Id rather know that he was a villain of course I’d be mad but if I’d been living a lie for idk a year or smth I feel like I’d be way more mad, mad at my dad mad at the person who didn’t tell me the truth and so on but that’s my opinion 😂

This was always what I thought miraculous should do.Long before I was always thinking how let alone Adrien, but the world find out about The famous fashion designer Gabriel Agreste being hawkmoth and then going to jail. I didn't want that to happen. It's funny that I theorized or should I say thought about the miraculous writers to make sure Gabe has a good name before he dies

Btw at the end of season 5 after the wish was made, i think it's not emilie rather it's amilie, cause gabrial sacrificed only himself so only one person can be saved and we saw natalie so he saved is what i think tell me if am wrong..😊😊

It’s really not I would honestly rather know my parent died a villain than a hero cause like you said hearing that the person died a hero hurts way more than knowing they died a bad person or a villain i mean this special was super sad and was definitely needed I loved every bit of it and I am excited to see what season 6 brings I give the London special a solid 8.5/10 it definitely made the season 5 finale less horrible for me just saying ❤

I think I would rather know that they died a hero but from Adrien’s standpoint I don’t think he’d want it that way. Like you said when Bugnoire said that his father was a hero it essentially makes it look like Adrien was the problem but we know he wasn’t. He was mistreated his whole life (even before the death of Emilie bc I love her but they both had TOTAL control over Adrien and in wishmaker he says that he wanted to be what his PARENTS plural wanted him to be) and probably thinks it’s now his fault. If he knew his father was the Villain of COURSE it would hurt a lot but it’s better then finding out later that he actually was willing to murder people and hurt his son over something that in the end wouldn’t even fulfill ALL his wishes. Marinette loves him too much that she was thinking about him not getting hurt by baring the pain of the death of both his parents while one was a supervillain that almost ended up as a legit murderer over a villain. Her choice only made it worse because not only is she supposed to hide the fact that Adrien’s father was Monarch, but she also has to hide the fact that she’s ladybug because if he knew her identity she would have no choice but to tell him everything. They can’t last if they have to keep up the lies (which is why Alya and Nino are still together bc they tell each other everything) and therefore can’t trust each other. I feel like the reveal would only make them stronger against Lila because they know their partners weaknesses and strengths to a T and you know everything else about them. If one were to get akumatized the other could attempt to prevent that all together.
