He's only frustrating to watch CURRENTLY because he doesn't fit into our current false9 system (without a striker) Back in 17/8 when the team played open ended attacking football with Aguero to tap in the penalty box - he was top 3 in the world . All this criticism is recency bias, theres a reason he does well for England and struggles for City - style of play .

Sterling problem is that he’s being used in the wrong way, he is not a player that’s going to take guys on the wings, he’s not that player. He’s like to run in behind defenders. He’s game struggles because SG, refuses to play actual midfielders who can pass a ball properly.
