Whats funny is what two of the absolute composers ever in the space think about genre labels. I love prog death but Hannes Grossmann main composer of Alkaloid and former main composer of Obscura says genres and labels are silly and so did Chuck from Death. Two of the absolute best composers to ever write for the style :) Hannes saw what he wrote for Omnivium as prog metal and as far as I'm concerned he's a gigachad for that. Chuck was all like "man now that everythings separated into categories metal people are sectioning off into their own little separated cliques when it all used to be one thing" (Paraphrasing but he did highly indicate this in a pre-Sound of Perseverance interview)
