And when you'll play ck3, England will become Norwegian, the Spanish kings will convert to Islam, the Roman empire will be restored and the pope will call a crusade against India.

You gave William the Conqueror his nickname a little early. He earned that after defeating King Harold and seizing the English throne. Prior to this he was known as "William the Bastard".

Imagine a monastery in 1066 actually having a map that accurate.

I am studying a bachelor in History at the moment, and I fear this game may annihilate my ability to concentrate on reading my history books and writing essays.

As a history teacher I have to say these past two videos have been great. Amazingly useful for showing how even in a single point in history multiple critical events and movements can be taking place all over the world.

I'd love to see a Total War: Medieval III with this much detail.

It was St. Stephen I. and his father Prince Géza who converted to christianity in Hungary.

Great video K&G, as always! It would be great to see such snapshots of history from other years as well. A small correction for Hungary: the first christian king of Hungary was St. Stephen I (the first), not the second, for obvious reasons, crowned in the year 1000. One of the national holidays of Hungary the upcoming August 20 celebrations commemorate this event. Stephen still had "pagan" name, Vajk. The conversion of Hungary to Christianity was a bloody affair leading to brutal civil wars but it ultimately contributed to the preservation of the kingdom, unlike other steppe-warrior conquerors that didn't make this move, like the Huns or Avars.

Fatimid Egypt and European Christians: This pilgrimage arrangement is working well, let's keep this up.
Seljuk Turks: Hey.

Edit: Seeing more fighting in my comment's responses than at the Battle of Manzikert!
