Here’s my advice on chiro. Find out if they do Gonstead. If they do .. don’t go there. Gonstead is this ”unproven theoretical science” that adjusting on 1 side can offset the spine to correct structure.

There are no conclusive studies on it showing both sides adjusted vs 1 side only. It leaves you feeling lopsided and imbalanced.

In theory it seems like it might work but it’s all bs. Only a small % of chiro do it as well so it’s not popular. Not adjusting both sides is bad.

Tension based chiro on both sides is key. That’s where you locate areas that have tension or are not moving well and adjusting. Each area of the body stores toxins / pressure and inflammation that are adjusted to relieve them. If you don’t adjust an area those toxins / inflammation and movement will still be trapped in that area and go unchecked.

Chiro care will not cure you just help you improve and maintain. Avoid wasting time and $$$ and ask. I got 1 recently that did Gonstead and now I’m getting another adjustment to fix the misalignment from this 1. It’s so awkward asking the chiro to adjust the other side and he refuses.

I get adjusted like 2-3 months which is helps relieve migraines and maintain my back issues. Seen improvement over yrs.

The reason I’m posting this is because I went to a new chiro to get a magic hug move I’d seen online. It went well but he refused to do both sides. I’m trying a better chiro soon to correct this adjustment. It doesn’t work for me to do 1 side only as I did it yrs ago by another chiro.
