Slim-fit, no-pleats, tapered (but not skinny/skin-tight), just-to-above-the knee shorts can be elegant in summer depending on the fabric and rest of the outfit, and can be elongating worn with chic designer platform sandals that are same shade as legs. I don't know if these are bermudas or not. They basically look like just-above-the-knee pencil skirt but more edgy and you can move in them.

I agree with you on 99% of these, but I have to respectfully disagree on ditching the utility sandals. I don’t like the ones that are gaudy or too colorful. But I think black, brown or other neutral toned utility sandals look great with the right outfits, especially in a sporty situation. I like the juxtaposition they bring to a simple t-shirt type dress or linen joggers and a crisp white tee. And so many of my viewers have “feet issues” and need more support in their sandals. So I think learning how to wear these in a modern, fresh way is the key. 🥰

I think acid wash jeans are so ugly . I honestly really hate that look on anyone .

I love my burmuda shorts. I wear them mainly for comfort. They are cooler than pants, they keep my legs from rubbing together and keep you from sticking to chairs in hot weather. I may not look that good in them, I don't know. I guess with the heat of summer, I will have to deal with not being the best looking me in my burmuda shorts. At 63 I just can't wear shorter shorts anymore. As for the other styles I agree with you.

I agree with everything, all of those trends are terrible. You forgot one more: extremely oversized pants, blazers, coats etc... I can't wait for OVERSIZED EVERYTHING to go away. Also, I hope "low rise" never comes back.

I am totally 100% in line with your take on these! For reference, I'm 56, LOVE my leather leggings, heels, SLIGHTLY distressed skinny jeans, etc, but every single one of the items you mentioned just make me cringe when I see them.

Agree with all of these! Cold shoulder tops are not a new style and can be very flattering when done correctly and fashionably. The cold shoulder turtlenecks and sweaters are a definite NO. One trend I can't stand but everyone loves is distressed jeans. A little bit pf fraying is OK, but the huge holes and rips are a real turnoff for me, fashion-wise.

I so agree with you on everything except the Bermuda shorts! I think, depending on the body type, the shoes, top, etc., Bermuda shorts can look good, but the best look is if they are black. They need to be black. I occasionally wore mine on a casual business Friday in an ultra conservative law firm in New England! Black bermudas with black low heels, blouse and blazer/jacket. I am 62 and I felt confident, stylish and still able to meet with clients on a Friday.

Fully agree with each an every one of it.
I also don't like Tie-dye. I mean, they OK for an 'at home' or casual 'running errands' look.... but "some people" are taking it as a very "classy" high end look. Which makes me wanna barf. (In my opinion)

oh Erin I agree with all of these. I'd add the psychedelic bright saturated tie-dye too. Especially the ones that create a bullseye right on your chest or tummy or worse yet on the private parts. Lol. Perhaps a small subtle version with darker and muted colors could look ok but those rainbow spirals must go

Agree with all but I love the bermuda shorts- its all in the styling and attitude. They can easily go frumpy and they aren’t for everyone - but I have been waiting for them to come back!!😘😘
