Invest in some flux for when you need to solder(like $10). It will make a huge difference when you need to fix wires like this and prevent a huge blob from builing up as the solder will flow where it should. Flux core solder is ok, but just can't replace stand-alone flux.

Nice little quad, even with bad modifications, now let's tear it apart. BRAVO, again your patience and knowledge pay off. Love the diagnostics. Keep up the hard work

I had an 88 Blaster. Loved that thing.

2V, kick starter, wiring and carb issues net you another win! But once again your expertise and patient diagnostics rule the day! The devil is in the details! Congrats!

Hey joe been working on banshees and blasters for many years now. Noticed in the video I’m at 17:30 time stamp that clutch is wore out, not in the fingers but the bumpers between the basket and gear. Need to cut the rivets and buy a clutch bumper kit. When you hold the basket in one hand you shouldn’t be able to move the gear at all by hand.

Love the videos wish I would’ve started doing it started about the same time as you very cool to watch you grow!! Hit me up with a response if you see my comment

My favorite part of the quad videos is how much fun the "kid" has ripping around on the newly repaired machines.

This is a really nice channel. I really don’t know much about engines but you explain things very well. Thanks for posting these videos.

Blows my mind how people will spend thousands of dollars on these toys, yet will do no maintenance, and let them rot when the first thing breaks.

Blasters are great little quads. I bought one brand new in 90 or 91 and had so much fun on that thing. Of course it doesn’t have the power of a Quad Racer 500 or a Banshee 350 Twin cylinder but it holds its own to be a little 250. The short frame makes it great in dense tight tracks.

You can flip the front wheels out to give it a wider front wheel base. Loved my Blaster! 😊

Those are great starter quads, dependable and durable. It will provide another couple decades of fun for somebody, well done.

Love fixing broken stuff. One note: When soldering wires like that, tin your iron first (clean it and put new solder on it) then apply the heat to the wire, not the solder. When you touch the solder to the hot wire, it will flow into the wire and make a much better connection. If you put the solder directly on the iron and let it drip onto the wire, you can get cold solder joints. I won't complain too much about non-impact rated sockets. We all do it. 😀

Meant to say it before but that is a nice trailer you now have. Much safer loading and unloading. Another great video Joe.

Can we pitch in and buy you a nice Milwaukee m18 impact? Feels like we owe it to you for all the work you put into this and the enjoyment we get out of watching. The auto-jare impact has served its purpose.
