The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Monday 24th March 2025

Good morning, welcome to our Oblate Family Morning Prayer this week. Today, we join Kay Curran from her home in Dublin on Monday, 24th March 2025, the 3rd Week of Lent.

Gospel Luke 4:24-30
Jesus, like Elijah and Elisha, is not sent only to the Jews.

Kay reflects:  "I pondered over this scripture reading for quite some time to make some sense of this. I wonder if the people in the synagogue knew who Jesus was, telling them the story of Elijah and Elisha. They just threw him out, not believing him. I think this is why Jesus said, no prophet is accepted in their own country."
