Extract or Parse JSON Data with Power Query

Did you know Power Query can talk JSON? Well no they don’t actually talk to each other….but if you’re trying to pull those name-value JSON pairs from a text file or log file to put into a spreadsheet, you don’t need to write some Python script do this. And hopefully you ARE thinking twice about putting your company’s data into one of those free services on the Internet.

Hi Doug, this was a great video where you showed great samples and said all the right things. The video is even better if I play it at 75% speed as it gives me time to actually see what you just did before you move on to the next item. It kind of feels like you had 2 cups of coffee right before the recording. May I suggest a slightly more relaxed approach where everything is the same but you give us some time to ingest as you go? Again, this was a great presentation that exactly addressed what I was looking for. Thanks.
