In an unusual move, O.J. Simpson stood in court and proclaimed his innocence to the judge. The jury was not present for his statement. As correspondent Bill Whitaker reported on September 22, 1995, the defense rested its case, setting the stage for closing arguments and deliberations.

A poor defendant would never be allowed to do this. This is unacceptable. Justice should be equitable

If OJ would have taken the witness stand the prosecution would have demolished him. Like the civil trial.

Obviously I was watching the People Vs. OJ Simpson to see exactly what he said. Damn if they didn't get it word for word. Sounded so much like TV fodder than to hear him actually say it. God he knew how to act it up. I think what surprises me more is I definitely thought they just had Marcia say "sit in the blue chair" for TV but that she actually said that in real life here. Good on her, if you want to clear your name, testify. But he can't, cause he did it.

Idk what everyone is talking about. The FX mini-series "The People Vs OJ Simpson?" Was dead on. Great mini-series imo...

This is one of many moments that show the incompetence and idiocy of the judge in this case. OJ should never have been allowed to make these statements when there were cameras in the courtroom (which also NEVER should have been allowed by the starstruck judge).

Judge Ito should have thrown this case out, OJ should have never been allowed to make those statements … Oh well OJ beat the system, it also helped having a clearly bias jury who wanted payback, which they have admitted that's what happen …
