Dr. David Grelotti: The problems and promise of cannabis use among PLWH

Dr. David Grelotti, MD, Assistant Clinical Professor, Health Sciences, University of California San Diego and Director of Owen Health Clinic, San Diego.

Dr. Grelotti investigates the problems and promise of cannabis use among people living with HIV (PLWH). This research is conducted by: (1) reviewing the epidemiology of cannabis use among PLWH,
2) evaluating how cannabis use affects key aspects of the HIV continuum of care, and (3) exploring the medicinal cannabis use among PLWH.

He presented his findings at "the Inaugural Symposium on Cannabis and People Living with HIV: At the Crossroads Between Neuropsychology and Inflammation." On April 5, 2019, it took place at the MUHC Glen site Research Institute.
