Update to the Ford F150 Ticking 5.0 Engine..

This engine replaced the original one that ticked sporadically and ended up using oil after a thorough oil consumption test from dealer. We never knew what made original engine tick but as you can see, its not normal to tick

I know this is an old video but that chirp/tick is the timing chain tensioner. Mine did it from New and had to fight Ford over it but that's what it was. The technician has to remove the belt to diagnose as everyone thinks its the belt.

I lemoned lawed mine. Engine clunking and rattleing going up hills, oil consumption. After the oil consumption longer dipstick and flashing the computer the truck would hesitate bad and still burned oil. Thank god I took it in at low miles for first diagnosis.
