I've repaired well over one hundred appliances in my life; but my GE dryer is similar to this and had me completely stumped. I was beyond frustrated. There were a couple screws holding an L shaped piece of metal to the back top of the dryer... but taking them off led nowhere. Thank you for posting this. My next step was going to be taking a metal sawzall blade and chopping this stupid dryer into 100 pieces and then dropping it at the dump and buying a new dryer without the stupid glass door. You know the ones, the ones that anybody can figure out how to take apart without taking off the stupid control knob.

Great video! Did you have to replace the front felt seal? The one i have doesnt have one and has worn away the retaining plastic

Mahalo for the essential info, but why did you have to remove your dryer front panel? Was the lint seal causing any issues?
