Well technically speaking the Rupert Stewie has now was always his since Brian replaced the first one by the end of “Dog Bites Bear”

So let me get this straight. Rupert originally belonged to Peter and then when Chris was born, was given to him. Then when Stewie was born, he was given that Oscar bear by Carter and Babs. At some point, for whatever reason, Rupert was then given to Stewie.
