Without a doubt Goycochea was one of the best goalkeepers in the entire tournament.

Lots of people really forget about the Costa Rican goalkeeper Conejo. He held Costa Rica in the tournament with amazing saves against Brazil and Sweden. If he didn't injure himself, who knows if czechoslovakia would've defeated them.

It's a shame that he never had the chance to play in bigger clubs in Europe.

Preud’homme and gabelo conejo were the best at that tournament. And taffarel’s save was amazing that shoot is called in south America “a quemarropa”, what means a shoot full of power in the face of the goalkeeper; making his chances to react null. Greetings from Bogotá.

There were more great saves of Conejo. In my opinion he was the best goalkeeper of the tournament, but Goycochea was named the best because he played much more games. Truly one of the best goalkeeper show at the World Cup i have ever seen. Actually it was the World Cup of goalkeepers. I will also never forgot match of Silviu Lung against Soviet Union, just incredible

Gabelo Conejo from Costa Rica played very well. It was the best goalkeeper of the group stage

Goycochea was the main reason Argentina made the final in 1990. That was his summer. Too bad that we never heard from him again. Same with Toto Schillaci.
