Biegacze - Oficjalny zwiastun - Wajda School and Studio

PL: Podczas wyścigu uczestnicy pokonują ponad 240 kilometrów. Przez dwie doby biegacze nie śpią, nie mają przystanków, nawet posiłki przyjmują, biegnąc. Ci, którzy docierają na metę, odczuwają wielką euforię. Bardzo szybko zaczynają myśleć o kolejnym biegu ekstremalnym. Dokument „Biegacze” przybliży widzowi stan ekstremalnego wysiłku fizycznego i momenty kryzysów psychicznych, z którymi muszą się mierzyć biegacze. Przynajmniej w części pozwala to widzom na przeżycie niezwykle intensywnych emocji, które stają się udziałem ultramaratończyków.

EN: What would you do to deal with a stressful job, personal troubles and trauma from the past? “240 kilometers in 52 hours”. Seems extreme? It’s the only goal for three participants of ultramarathon in Poland. They stop at nothing, they wrestle with unbelievable exhaustion and acute pain. After a couple of hours they start to feel faint and suffer severe contusions. For some reason they keep running. They discover that only during the run, they feel truly alive. They go beyond their limits and experience extreme pain, struggle and ultimetley – joy. Film illustrates the community of long-distance runners to show their motivation, formidable ambition and willpower. It focuses on radical emotions – fatigue, fear, doubt, fortitude and euophoria of overcoming self-limits.
