KH3 sold higher than the rest of the series, how many people were playing KH3 as their first KH game and had no idea wtf was happening lmao

The portable games are most impressive to me since they were already niche games, and other than MAYbe BBS (which was a pretty full on KH game in its own right that could have been a mainline console release), were kind of niche sorta side stories. I'm honestly impressed with Chain of Memories going that hard, considering population growth and it's the oldest, most dated of the handheld releases.

KH3 being the most seller makes sense due to population growth and how multi-platform it is/was (X-Box for the first time, PS, and also PC). Makes you also respect KH1's showing.

And as someone said, that Traverse Town music takes me back. I remember playing this game when I first started college. It was after my world was kind of shattered with 9/11 happening and really screwing with my perception of good and evil in the world and what evil was. And having a game where the characters are more simple and the good guys clear really helped me center a lot of things better. It was...nice.

Simpler times.

No surprise KH3 was #1. It did sell 5 million in the 1st week alone. And as a Day 1 buyer, it was well worth it.
