I don't think Rey as a new character is bad. But it's more about how the new movies were done. Especially episodes 8 and 9. Also how some old characters were treated/removed. One can only hope that they learned from mistakes... But that remains to be seen.

Kathleen Kennedy needs to be out, we all know the two brains of the new Star Wars Universe and its Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau. Also, forget the currently line of Star Wars movies, create something new, in the past or the far future and not current timelines already, it's starting to get old.

The sequel trilogy would have been fantastic if it was all directed by JJ Abrams. Rian Johnston deliberately took a massive dump on the storyline for the lols. I hate that they would actually consider letting him anywhere near Star Wars ever again. TLJ should have been cancelled and binned, not released.

I'm happy to see a new Rey movie, but definitely would prefer a more appropriately experienced director.

Nuke the entire sequel trilogy into nothing. There are fan films on YouTube with more heart, more character and better story telling in 15 minutes than in all of the sequel trilogy.
