054 Surah Al Qamar by Mishary Al Afasy (iRecite)

I just finished Rahman and now am on this surah and I now memorized Rahman to naas and now and on surah qamar. May allah help us all memorize quran. I am 10 years old and allah helped me so he can help you too.. Aameen

I'm a revert and this is my favourite Surah... It starts off with the splitting of the moon, and how disbelievers react to that. This is what convinced me miracles do not have to present themselves to prove God exists, because faith is in the heart and for such a miracle as seeing the moon split, it's predetermined who will accept it as coming from God and who (in this story, some Quraish) will reject it.
Later on, a verse mentions the Quran has been made easy to understand and recite. Not speaking arabic, I found Quran to be neither... Yet when I tried prayer I had no issues memorizing some arabic, I could do a complete prayer without reading from paper in a few weeks! Regarding the contents, while still really difficult for me to understand, most of my muslim friends can always fully understand the meaning of each verse. All they need is the Arabic, and not the english version I read. It seems so obvious now that Arabic is the most complete, beautiful language and that, really, the Quran is easy to understand if you know the beautiful language it was created in.
Subhan Allah, this surah was once an objection of mine against islam, but it is what made me go to the mosque and say shahada in the end.

Al-Qamar, meaning "moon" in Arabic, is an important title for surah 54. The first verse is traditionally thought to refer to a miracle performed by the Islamic prophet Muhammad (SAW) in the Meccan phase of his career, in which he showed the moon split in two in response to a challenge from his opponents. The disbelieving response is then recorded in the second verse "But if they see a sign they turn away and say 'Continuous sorcery!'" Several reports concerning this incident are contained in canonical hadith books, traced back to various Companions. According to those who downplay the miraculous, on the other hand, it foreshadows the inevitable Day of Judgment that will divide those who believe from those who disbelieve—those who are destined to Paradise and those who are destined to Hell.
