Thank you for the video. Currently working on a Quaking Aspen Bonsai project. I found a seedling at a local nursery in Flagstaff AZ. We have aspens everywhere here due to the high elevation and love doing bonsai projects with native tree species.

I live in the north in the land of the trembling aspen, they literally are WEEDS, and indeed they shoot their suckers far into the lawn and if one does not mow frequently they'd advance into my lawn I'm sure 50 to 70 feet in just three years, as well I get copious amounts sprouting from seeds! I'm not a big fan of the trees, though there's some nice clonal stands, I even came upon an amazing columnar stand that looks rather like the 'Swedish' aspen, though even nicer cause it has a very nice billowy effect and also it does not succumb to the devastating bronze leaf disease.

Good tip about planting just one, so there's no competition with other quaking Aspens. I'm gonna do that

What if you just want one specimen on a lawn? Will mowing keep the spreading suckers controlled?
