Humble Degica/RPGMaker Bundle

Humble Bundle are currently running a sale with Degica games on their RPGMaker and Visual Novel Maker line of game engines, as well as a number of RPGMaker authored games and various different game assets. As with all Humble Bundles, a portion of the proceeds go to charity.

The default RPG Maker assets are only licensed for RPG Maker games, but I think you can take them between versions. The Medieval Town tileset is listed twice because VX Ace and MV use different formats for tilesets (32 by 32 for VX Ace, 48 by 48 for MV)

RPG Maker MV can export to Android and iOS as well as PC. The older ones only export to PC.

So this is a bit off topic but since materialize has gone open-source can anyone provide me with a 32 bit build so that I can use it on my old laptop when I am traveling. I am not a game developer. I am a 3D artist so I do not want to go and install unity make an account and deal with beginner tutorials.

When you buy a Humble Bundle you can choose where your money goes. I usually have 100% of my money go to charity.

50 bucks is a lot money for a humble bundle. But the highest I've seen was a software bundle with a bunch of video/photo editing software for $60.

RPG Maker XP, VX and VX Ace use Ruby as programming language. You can use either XP or VXAce, they differ on features. Just don't use VX, it's outright outclassed entirely by VXAce. Coming from an idiot who has spent 12+ years around RPG Maker *snort*. Akshually it's 15+.

MV on the other hand is Javascript based, all code is modifiable (it runs in Node.js and uses Pixi as graphic library). I don't like it for that sole reason, runs slow and it's slower to load resources, has support for HD graphics which is good if you can do your art yourself/have an artist, assets are 1.5 times bigger (that's why they sell some assets for VXAce and MV separately). But Node is just not good for games, it runs poorly IMHO. :)
