Welcome to the basics of Solidity. Solidity is the language that is used to create smart contracts on the Ethereum or Polygon blockchain so we must have a good understanding of how it works. After this tutorial, you will be able to follow along with many more smart contract creation videos with ease and understand what I am talking about.

This is fantastic. I am a C#/Javascript dev transitioning to mostly web dev from windows native WPF work. I have experience using wallets/minting NFTs etc in the defi space (mostly degen layer 2 stuff and DAOs etc) so I have a decent overall understanding of blockchain but I have recently started this course to attempt to one day pivot into a solidity developer as my full time job. This has been soooo incredibly useful as a jumping off place. I'll keep commenting on the other videos in the series as I go through them during my journey!

referring to uint's question, i don't have much knowledge about bytes, i think it's pretty boring. could this be a problem in my solidity learning??

I didn't quite understand the concept of "uint". for example ; can i deposit a variable double or string let's say, or just a double referring to bytes or maybe eth ?
