Idk if y’all know but the English subtitles don’t have the same words or even phrases as the Japanese version. It’s not just a few words either. Sometimes the meaning of a scene completely changes. For example when we first meet the “little one” in the English version they say “don’t look down on me, you’ll regret it when you learn what I’m capable of” but in the Japanese version, they’re repeating their sentence but changing their pose to look cooler. It completely changes the personality of his character .
I don’t speak Japanese but I watch tons of anime to the point where I can recognize phrases and words, so it throws me off when using English sub and Japanese voice. It also saddens me because I love Japanese voice acting and the meaning behind their words and phrases. Perhaps in the future kuro will release a taylored English sub version like how anime does.
