The Yamaha modx dose have aftertouch to use just connect a keyboard that has it. The manual says no aftertouch but it means the key bed.

Hi, great vid! Is it possible to assign just a lead sound to only be played on the modx while still sending the other layered sounds to the master keyboard except for the lead to be played on the mod? Usually their are separate midi channels that allow for this but can’t quite figure it out in the modx…

Thanks for the tutorial. New subscriber here. I have on question about using the A/D input. I connect my MX49 into the A/D inout of my MODX. There some time when the left channel won’t have signal. I have to reboot MODX then the signal comes back. Have you experience this?

Thanks for your good and clear video! This raises a specific question for me. I have a MODX6 and an MX61.
The MODX6 has 16 parts, 8 of which can be played with Keyboard Control. Is it possible to play part 9 - 16 on my MX61?

Also, for example, I want to play pad and piano on the MODX and divide it into zones. But lead synth and effects play on the MX61. Also in zones. And all the sounds of the MODX6

Thank you for these great tutorials. I need help please! I would like to be able to transform my MOXF8 into an arranger keyboard using an auto-accompaniment software such as One Man Band 12 (OMB). So that, whenever I play the chords or melody on MOXF8, it would trigger/control the standard Style files from OMB software. I followed the instructions but could not get it to work as described above. Please help!

Thank you for your video. I can't figure out how to hear sounds only from the MODX while playing my master keyboard. I can turn down the volume on MODX for its sounds and only hear Motif, but not the other way around. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
