I was drowning and so was my sister . I was the elder and my mother was sick and had surgery. My grandmother and I had taken the younger children to swim in a nearby lake. A thunderstorm approached. A child swam after a ball. She went to far. She started praying. I heard on shore and knew she was in trouble. I jumped in, but forgot to remove my bluejeans. When i got there, i was weighed and tired. And my sister grasp me and pulled me under. Them i knew we would die if God did not intervene. I talked to him and i was not worried about death but i knew my mother would die if she lost 2 children that day. And i asked him to intervene. I told him if only she could understand me then i could tell her what to do . Immediately i her my sisters voice inside my head answering me as i was telling god what i would tell her. She had heard me with the instruction and she was answering . But we were under water! We were able to work together and we survived that day.

God directly intervened in my life as a teenager in the 1970s. I would routinely drink and drive. One night I was turning around in a parking lot when my car became wedged under the limb of a tree . It wouldn't move so I just slept in my car until I could call a tow truck the next day. I never drank and drove again but it wasn't until years later I thought back and realized that was far more than a coincidence. That Tree grabbed me.

On more than one occasion I have been shopping with my husband at a large store. He is subject to low blood sugar events, so I want to keep track of him if he gets one. I may look for him and he is nowhere to be found. So, I decide to pray. I start, "Dear Lord, I need to . . . " I turn my head and see my husband is down the aisle I had just looked in. He is usually fine, I just panicked but God lets me find him anyway.

The Lord and I have walked with each other for over 30 years. Ive seen Him do wonderful things in my family. Ive seen Him be silent when one word from Him could have healed a painful situations. I've had to learn how to trust Him if he did something or not. I had to learn how to wait on Him. I had to learn how to go to Him even when I did not understand what was going on. I still wait and pray for my children. I still seek my Lord for some answers I have been waiting for for years. He has fed us, clothes us, given us goodies and unexpected blessings along the way. I have learned to bless others in my distress and stop just thinking about me. Jesus has brought people and situations our way to move us to a new home. Bless us with a new car. And still I wait for some deep longings in my heart. He is God and I'm not. So He can take his time or not. He is in control. It is really not my business to know all he is doing and why. I'm to trust HIM. Trust Him, Trust Him. Ask for understand and wisdom and wait on the Lord. In the waiting and trusting we grow up as Christians. Just trust Him.

I couldn't believe it when the Lord suddenly took John Paul . I still remember his story of What happened to him on the 405 freeway in LA . It so amazing that the dozen or so people that witnessed it got down on their knees on the freeway in the rain and accepted Jesus. You have got to listen to this!
