Discover the first artwork co-commissioned by High Line Art and Audemars Piguet Contemporary.
If you walk along New York City’s High Line, you might come across « Windy », on view until May 2023. Imagined and created by Meriem Bennani, this ambitious artwork breaks norms of traditional static sculpture.Taking the form of a spinning tornado, its kinetic structure will rotate for a full year. “Windy’s” shape and frenetic behavior capture the fast pace and the dynamism of life in the Big Apple.

Beautiful form and symbolism! Like the movement in time, with watches as are instruments of choice!

What AP has to do with this ? They just devaluated the value of their brand. Keep going.

residents of the Chelsea neighborhood that this “art” is installed in, do not pay any attention to the high line walkway nor even care about its presence at all. It is a gaudy, inconvenient, tasteless tourist attraction. literally. ironically, the high line serves as an expressway conveyor belt to move tourists like cattle from 14th street to 34th street penn station so they can hopefully jump on a train to the airport and get the heck out of NYC quicker. In one fluid motion. hahahahahah
