My thoughts on the video, just my own take: The landscape is him... he's alive, changing, beautiful and yet harsh. She is 'his love'...she doesn't 'love him', so she stays aloof, closed-off.. nothing he does gets through to her.  And in the end she leaves him and there's a void where she was.
Really love the song, it's one of those that worms into your head and I just want to keep hearing it.

With such a non-linear format, muttering disguise through minimalism and simplicity in it's rawest of all "transformations", such a video to such a tune like this is what allows you to create your own drama, your own anti-climax. I use to listen to this everyday when I was in highschool back in 2013. This track dropped in the dead of a strong Canadian winter in Vancouver. I remember walking all bundled up through downtown high as a kite thinking this was the most unique song ever. I still think that as a 25 year old in 2022. Don’t loose that inner child mates!
