I’m skating an 8.5 rn and it’s great 😎
Something about a bigger board just feels so much easier to stand and cruise on.

Let me know what size you skate in the comments down below.
Don’t forget to peep the links in my description 🖤

Love you guys, keep shredding!

I finally landed my first shuvit yesterday after almost a month of trying :DDD

edit: 1 year later and i’ve almost got kickflips :))
edit 2: 20/6/23 i landed my first heelflip on the 1st of june after only 3 days of trying :D
edit 3: 4/11/23 getting my flip tricks more consistent and working on more transition stuff, highest drop in: 8ft.
i’ve now been skating for 1.5/2 years
edit 4: 30/12/23 happy new year guys, i’m getting half cab rock fakies more consistent now and finally decided to learn to skate bowls kinda well
edit 5: 19/2/24 starting to work on varials :) not sure why i put them off this long haha, also i started trying to skate ledges more and landed a few nose slides today
edit 6: i started getting into freestyle and i learnt how to primo shuv from rail stand and a couple casper variations, i don’t have a freestyle board so it’s kinda difficult tho haha. my nose slides are getting a lot better and i can pretty much shuv out of them clean now
edit 7: 30/4/24 i forgot to mention i actually learnt varials pretty quick, but it took me a day or two longer to get them moving. i skated in my first jam a few weeks ago and i won a hat n a t-shirt so that’s pretty cool ig. also i’m getting cleaner 5050 grinds and i’m thinking about working on 5-0s
edit 8: 28/7/24 learning to get bs flips consistent now and possibly half cab flips. i also learnt sweepers on transistion a couple weeks ago which was pretty cool. also i ollied the kicker to kicker gap at my local which i was so happy with cause it’s sketch asl
edit 9: 17/10/24 the weathers getting colder n rainy so i can’t skate as much but i’m loving fakie 50 grinds atm. i learnt to fakie front shuv out of them. also fakie ollie switch 5-0 (or fakie nose grind wtv you wanna call it lol)

I started learning pop tricks and flip tricks on a skinny board 8” or less my whole life just jumped straight to 8.5 and it’s the biggest confidence boost on landing and on the ramp that I’ve done. More so than new shoes or pads or a helmet. Really improved my consistency and confidence in the board. I’m an adult male almost 6’ tall and wear size 12 shoes. I’d recommend anyone with an 11 or bigger shoe size play around with an 8.25 or bigger.

I skate 8.5, I started on a 7.75 and learned to ollie and then switched and got 180s, half cabs, bigspins, and some begginner flip tricks.

I thought it was based on shoe size I had one when I was 10 and I remember it being big but I just bought a 8.38

i love skating wider decks bc i found out it actually barely takes any force to flip your skate deck! a great channel called whythetrick actually got me into this. if you think ab it you can flip your board w just your fingers & therefore it hardly takes any force from the flick of ur ankle to flip ur board so skating a wider deck just makes everything easier to land for me :) maximum 2in of width rly wouldn’t change that force much either so i think it’s a common misconception that wider decks r harder to flip also 😌

I’m skating a 7.75, and I love it. It’s also my first deck, I can’t even kick flip, so I don’t know how well it flips, but it has great control.😊

I'm an oddball skater, I'm 5'5", ride an 8.75 on Ace 55s with 58 mm wheels and 1/8" risers. Makes rolling in the bowl and floating transition feel like a breeze
