I caught mine when it was on sale 3 years ago for $139.00 And I am very pleased with it.

Just picked one of these up a couple of weeks ago and so far, so good. Oh, and did I mention, it's so quiet!!! 😃

I've had this same model for about a year and a half now and I just love it. I had a Bostich 6-gal pancake compressor that would scare the bejeebers out of me every time it turned on. I use this in my woodshop every day and hardly even know it's there, it's so quiet.

I just got the 10 gallon in this line and they’re so quiet! I love it. I have larger compressors, and I have them all run into a manifold with check valves and a regulator on the manifold output so I can use whichever I want, or combine them for higher cfm, but this one does most things just fine. It’s just so nice to not have that ear-splitting noise every time I want to use an air tool. It was even better than I expected. I used to avoid air tools to avoid the noise, but now I find myself using them a lot more.

They are actually quieter in real life than they seem on youtube videos. If anyone is considering getting one, just do it.

I've had this model for over a year and haven't had any problems with it. I'm still impressed by how quiet it is and use it in my basement workshop for pin jailers and a blow gun. Haven't had to use it for tires since I've been using a Ryobi inflator.

I picked up a fortress about six months ago next size up to replace my Ingersoll Rand that I must’ve had for over 35 years.
For an oilless compressor I was blown away on how quiet it is.
Highly recommend.

I might pick this up today. For the metal shavings, I have a piece of tubing taped to any extra shop vac nozzle that works great to reach into tight spaces. But for general dirt and debris, air is awesome.

Had this exact compressor for maybe 3-4 years. Light use but started acting up last summer. Nasty burned smell from the capacitor and would sometimes not start. Finally failed totally couple days ago. Annoyingly enough the cap is EXTREMELY difficult to get to unless I remove most of the plumbing. I’ll probably do that and use a good quality part since I’m
Overall pleased with the rig. I have it mounted on a repurposed hose cart. Does run out of oomph if I use a blow gun but it recovers ok. It is quiet though. Used it running a trim nailer and it’s quiet enough to have a relaxed convo with my work partner.

That thing is awesome. My current compressor that is about the same size is ridiculously loud. When I use it outside you can hear it loud and clear in the house. It also takes a good 10 minutes to air up.

I installed a quick disconnect fitting by removing a 1/4” plug on the manifold of my 20 gal compressor so I can use this fortress to pressurize it late at night so I can paint a small body part.

I'm glad you made this video. I am buying a air compressor for around the house. I was contemplating that one or the mcgraw 6 gallon. This one seems like it's pretty darn good

Hello again Tony
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I've been thinking about a compressor for a while. Like you I don't have much daily use. To be sure I am tracking with you. You said this oil-less. So what maintenance does it require? The noise level is amazing. Again thank you 😊

Will it work for vacuum bleeding coolant systems on automobiles?

Hey I’m considering the McGraw 3 gal Hot dog version to do the same thing you need yours for. After seeing this, I wonder if I should upgrade to this model? Sooo quiet 👍

I have the kobalt version of the ultra quiet compressor. So quiet i can use it indoors all day long. My old bostich pancake compressor must have been 100 dbs. Louder than my damn chainsaw.

Thanks for the video! Any idea how long you can run the blow gun before it kicks back on? Thinking of getting one this size for occasional use cleaning car interiors, so not too heavy use.

Hello tony how's everything your direction? I still use air impacts and air rachets in my shop. I think there more powerful then cordless. I have both but still prefer pneumatic air tools. I like that compressor you bought. Have heard good things about them also. Can't believe how quite it is for a oiless pump .

I bought this and rehabbed my basement a couple years ago. Now when I use it, it runs correctly on first try. When it gets low on air, it never kicks back on. I have to let all the air out and unplug and re-plug it after a minute. So pissed. I want a quiet solution, I'm sensative to loud noises and it's scary with nailguns for me as a DIYer. Any idea what might be wrong?
