Out of all the Styx songs you haven't done yet, my favorite is "Fooling Yourself." "Blue Collar Man", and "Lady" are also great as well.

I’ve known Tommy Shaw for 32 years now. We met in 1990 through a mutual friend and we wrote the song “keeping me alive“ together. When I met Tommy STYX had broken up years earlier and he embarked on a solo career which was short-lived. In 1991 he started the project Damn Yankees with Ted Nugent and Jack blades from night Ranger I forget the drummers name he was a young guy and really amazing. The only thing that’s bigger than Tommy’s talent is his humanity. He is truly one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. I’ve seen him do things for complete strangers even show up at someone’s wedding that he only met once to play a song for them. 🕊❤️🎼

This is what the cool kids call a Tommy Shaw STYX song. The ballads.... Dennis DeYoung, the Rockers.... Tommy Shaw, that's how they did it.

I’m 67 years old. I love witnessing young people discovering past music that was iconic in the day. So fun. This song I have pinned as my oldest son’s theme song of life. 😂

STYX has a lot of great songs. Try "Grand Illusion", "The Best Of Times", "Fooling Yourself", "Crystal Ball", "Lady" and "Boat On The River".

Styx are ridiculously talented, there were actually 3 vocalists in the band, but Dennis and Tommy were the most prolific. Never let Tommy’s little baby face fool ya. Great singer and guitarist.

Styx is amazing
Suite Madame Blue, Lady, and Crystal Ball are definitely my favorites, but they have so many great songs!🔮

After these years of not hearing this song, I still sang every word of this song with them!

One of my earliest memories of this song is playing it on the juke box at a restaurant when I was a kid :)

Always loved the line, ". . .I've got plenty of friends, and the fun never ends. That is as long as I'm buyin" ".

This lead singer is Tommy Shaw. Tommy later formed Damn Yankees with Jack Blades of Night Ranger, Ted Nugent of The Amboy Dukes, and drummer Michael Cartellone of Lynyrd Skynyrd. I saw them in 1976 and it was the loudest concert I ever saw! Tommy did something interesting: He came into the spotlight & introduced a song, he had written, before he became successful and was down & out. It was called "Crytal Ball" and revealed his concerns about his unknown future. This is a very emotional and moving song, and still gives me goosebumps. Please react to Crytal Ball.

I just saw Styx & REO Speedwagon in concert last month & both KILLED IT!!!! It was truly amazing at their age they perform at such a level. It was like singing all my childhood songs that I normally sing in my car alone w/ 20, 000 other people!! Great band!!!!

From the same album, "Rockin' the Paradise", "Snow Blind" and " Best of Times" are all great tunes worth a reaction.

The best concert I ever went to was REO Speedwagon, Styx and Journey. Epic!

This was posted on social media a lot when Covid hit and we were all shut down and home. A humorous way of dealing with the crisis. This is one of my favorite Styx songs!

Those “plastic tubes” you are referring to with the drums are called Octobans . They are melodically tuned in sets of eight (hence the name) and they are also referred to as “tube toms.” They have a unique sound similar to a regular tom tom but higher pitched.

"The Best of Times" is one of their best songs and one of their biggest hits. Dennis DeYoung sings that song and it's such a pretty song. It came out in 1981, the same year as this song. "The Best of Times" would be great to review and I hope they do review it.

Tommy shaw sings lead on this one. The level of talent that came out of the 70s and 80s is unreal.
