Veteran Learning Series: How to Ace the Interview

On March 30, 2023, The Manufacturing Institute’s Heroes MAKE America initiative hosted a Veteran Learning Series: How to Ace the Interview. The workshop featured Vicki Morse, HR- Early Talent Consultant and Employee Engagement with Caterpillar Inc.
In this in-depth workshop, participants learned how to prepare for the interview by gathering documents, researching the company, and dressing for success; how to stand out in an interview with effective story telling using the STAR method and other key techniques; and how to demonstrate your interest with post-interview follow-up.
Veteran Learning Series: These virtual events are geared toward educating the broader military community on topics related to transitioning into a civilian career. Speakers and subject matter experts from manufacturing/supply chain industry companies and other military community organizations share their tips and tricks from the company perspective in relation to assisting the military community in that transition.
