this is my theorie, the rocket was actually intended to destroy tilted but due to it coming down with an insane speed it manages to travels through time and creating cracks through time and space all over the map, why i think of this well we know this season is about movies right?well in the back to the future franchise the delorean has to go up to a speed of 88 mph so it could travel, so those cracks in the sky might open gates to other time periods

What if the visitor is going back in time so he can try and get the meteor to hit Tilted Towers, like originally intended. This would also explain why the rocket tried to crash itself into Tilted yesterday.

Found this on reddit: My friend spoke with epic employees and told me the season 4 end/season 5 setup. Basically, the visitor skin (blockbuster skin) is using the rocket to go home. The rocket fails and lands in moisty mire and ruins the world. They want the world to go back to normal so they build a time machine to take them back. This brings them back in time to the past, which is what season 5 is: history themed (e.g. greek, roman, egyptian, etc.). There will be an extension added to the map which will fill in that indentation into the land around C8. The time machine will be located on this extension.

Edit: ok, so after the rocket launch, it appears there are some flaws with what my friend told me. However, since season 5 didn't start yet, it is still possible some of this information is true. The epic employees could have been discussing possibilities for what could happen with the rocket launch, but the history theme may still be correct. We will see what happens.

Here is my theory. The visitor came from another time. So he needs to launch the rocket to get back. The rocket ends up failing but at the last second a crack in time saves titled from the rocket. The rocket is then put through multiple time periods. It eventually ends up hitting the sky causing it to back a big crack. This way now other time periods can come onto Fortnite island. Hence why it’s supposed to be history themed for season 5. I’m sure others already had this theory but it seems most logical

I think the Visitor tried to destroy tilted with the rocket, but Fate and Omen used there powers to deflect the rocket away through a portal.
The first portal wasn't enough to turn the rocket completely away from the island, so they had use another two portals to get it completely away from causing any damage.
In this case, Fate and Omen are the good guys, and the Visitor the bad. A nice little switch.
