Cape Town looks to tap into waste water

Dam levels have dropped to below 30 percent after two years of the lowest rainfall on record.

Critics are pushing to make better use of waste water.

Al Jazeera's Fahmida Miller reports from Cape Town.

Trade you a bottle of water for a barrel of oil.

Desalination is indeed expensive and that's why recycling must be put into agenda. Or when you suffer from water shortage, it's too late.

I highly disagree with desalination technology. It leads to higher concentrations of salt in the oceans and leads to salt contamination of precious soil. Use sewage water instead. I agree with that.

Look to Israel to learn how they have helped many countries improve their water supply. Remember, if you Bless Israel, you too will be Blessed.
